How do we collect your data?
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us. This can be, for example, data that you enter in a contact form or as part of an order. Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g., internet browser, operating system, or time of the page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.

Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial law retention periods); in the latter case, the deletion will take place after these reasons have ceased to apply.
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Our internet pages use so-called 'cookies'. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or an automatic deletion is carried out by your web browser.
The provider of the pages (Firebase App Hosting) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources.
We compile visitor statistics without cookies and without storing any information on your device. For this we process the page viewed, the referring website or campaign tag (utm_source), browser type, device type, browser language and time zone. We determine the approximate location (city, region, country) from your IP address using a database that we keep on our own server (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, https://db-ip.com, licence CC BY 4.0); your IP address is not passed on to DB-IP or any other third party for this. If no location is found there, we only derive the country from the time zone. Your IP address is not stored: only a hash of IP address and browser identifier is formed, using a key that is newly generated each day and then discarded, so that several page views on the same day are not counted more than once. This does not allow us to identify you or to recognise you on later days. The data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore); individual visits are deleted after 30 days, after which only aggregated daily figures remain. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in measuring reach and improving our services.
You have the option to create a user account on our website to place and manage orders. As part of the registration and during orders, we collect the following data: Name, email address, password (encrypted), Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), and address data. This data is used for contract processing, provision of the tuning files, and communication with you. The processing is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Your data is stored in the Firebase Firestore database, a service provided by Google.
For the processing of payments, we use the service provider Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. When you place a paid order, your payment data (e.g., credit card number) is transmitted directly to Stripe. We do not store your full payment data on our servers. Stripe processes your data to carry out the payment. For more information, please see Stripe's privacy policy.
This site uses Google services such as Google Maps for address suggestions and Google reCAPTCHA for form security. The fonts used (Google Fonts) are loaded locally from the server during the build process for privacy reasons, so no data is sent to Google for this purpose. When using Maps and reCAPTCHA, your IP address may be transmitted to Google and stored in the USA. We have no influence on this data transfer.
