We handle BMW by remote programming: order the hardware, read out the ECU at home, upload the file, flash the finished tune yourself. The car never needs to visit a workshop.

You flash all 34 control units yourself: no workshop appointment, the car stays with you. 4 of them need the ECU removed once and sent in for an unlock; after that everything runs over OBD.

Whether the ECU has to be sent in depends on its build date: up to 08/2019 the unlock runs straight over OBD2 and nothing leaves your garage. From 09/2019 onwards a bench or AutoTuner / FEMTO unlock is needed, so the unit comes out and comes to us. We quote the more demanding route here. If you know your build date or are unsure, just ask.
